Default 'Happening' -- pre-release buzz

Fox had announced the M. Night Shyamalan thriller for Blu:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/happening.html

It will arrive day-and-date with the DVD on October 7.

MSRP is $39.98.

No extra details yet, but tech specs will be standard Fox stuff, with a BD-50, 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-MA 5.1 Surround audio.

Not to worry I got the details:

"Deleted Scenes with Introduction by M. Night Shyamalan," a "The Hard Cut" featurette, a "I Hear You Whispering" featurette, "The Happening - Visions Of The Happening: A Making Of," "A Day For Night" featurette, an "Elements Of A Scene" featurette, a "Gag Reel," and "Trailers."

The Blu-ray edition will have all of the above as well as: a "Digital Copy" of the film, "Train Shooting" featurette, and a "DBOX" feature - D-BOX Motion Code™ system creates real-life motion in your seat thatīs perfectly synced to the action you see on screen.

I actually enjoyed this film, the story behind it is rather interesting and the performances were satisfying, specially from J. Leguizmo. Not the best M. Night film but what can we expect after Village and Lady?

Good stuff, getting the Blu for sure!

i'm buying this film because of one main reason:

Spoiler:
i wanna see some of those chilling kills especially when john leguizumo or w.e. the spelling is...steps out of his car and does his thing with his wrists and some glass ....and moreso when the dude turns the lawnmower against himself lol

those parts are worth a purchase imo

It was one of the worst films this year... but in a good way. I laughed non stop at it so I will pick it up when it's cheap.

If I were Fox, I would probably just try and pretend like this movie never existed. Sort of like how Disney treats Song of the South.

Thank god the characters can outrun the wind or they'd be in real trouble.

This movie was the biggest letdown of 2008 and that's coming from a huge m.night fan, but maybe since I love all his other movies and hated this, someone who hated all his other movies, might like this.... who knows. I'd say deffinitely rent it before blind buying though.

I was looking forward to seeing this in theatres, too bad it was such a bad flick. I still have a little faith left in Shyamalan though.
