Josh has reviewed 'The Counterfeiters.' He says this Blu-ray sports
faithful picture and sound and some good bonus features. Recommended.

I am definitely interested in this, especially after the review. I may order it this weekend.

Watched it tonight on blu, while some scenes look really good, there are quite a few that are very, very grainy. Doesn't change the fact this is an excellent film and should be own by anyone with a Blu player.

This was a fantastic movie. I'm sure the Blu-ray looks better than the tiny art house theater I saw this film in. I'll pick it up later with coupons and such.

I saw this movie recently on a very small screen in an airplane. Definitely liked the movie, I'll need to buy this one.

From the High-Def Digest review:

The back of the disc case contains the following disclaimer: This film employs a variety of film stocks and grain structures in order to tell the story. This intentional visual style has been retained for this high definition presentation, as per the filmmaker's intent.

Great movie, but if you're buying it and want to save a few bucks, the SD version might be just as visually pleasing. Really, this isn't a movie that screams for HD. My eyes adjusted to it after a bit, but it was still rough viewing, which I suppose was done on purpose due to the subject matter.

That's a fallacy. Grainy movies tend to look very bad on DVD, because they are much harder to compress.

Watched this last night. A quite good movie. It was grainy yes on Blu-ray but I thought it looked good. The music worked quite well I think as well.
