Yes, but the master that was made features a very pleasant picture... it's already in high definition so what else do you want? Again, what do you want in the remaster of the picture?

I for one hope that Warner/HBO didn't remaster the series because there is a slight chance that a new master could be a victim of DNR. The DVD & HBO HD broadcasts had grain intact and look very good so I hope that they use said master (or a newer one that hasn't been seen yet but still has grain and detail)

Pretty big difference in those screen shots. Time to pre-order this set!

No hurry for me it will be around for a while, and watching it on History ch time and again I'll wait this one out. I'm sure Amazon will have it marked down after a month or two, but definitely worth it at Warner if you ever get it from them.

I know what you mean. If Sony, Disney, or Paramount released this, it would be in 1080p.

Don't tell Warner, but me neither. $100 is actually a steal for this, IMHO.

that's $10 per episode if it's straight up $100 for box set.

think about it, lost season3 BD is roughly $2-3 per episode. $10 is EXPENSIVE. this should be around $30-40 at most.

I'm totally getting this, but my one complaint is that the case doesn't seem to have any indication that it's blu-ray at all, besides the little cardboard "slipcase" thing. If you took that off, the tin would look exactly the same as the sd one....
