That is just flat-out awesome. Release-day buy for me. Seen them 3 times and they are still incredible live.

It's nice to see catologue concert releases of bands in their haydays as opposed to Veteran rock acts (Rolling Stones, Yes, Toto, Eagles..etc) releasing recent shows instead of remastering old shows. Maybe they still sound the same, but the energy and feeling is just far superior from shows of these bands in their youth.

^^^
To go even further the recent releases at times dont even contain original members and come off at best a shadow of what the band once was.
Agreed these types of releases are a much needed addition to the growing hi-def ranks!
More please!

I was watching this last night on my local PBS and they were like oh if you pledge $100 you could get the 2 disk SD DVD set. Then if you pledged $150 you would get the 2 disk set and the best of cd as a THANK YOU. I was like it would be cheaper to buy the Blu & the CD together than do this.

Anyways it was a great concert for what I saw I was flipping between that & SNL. I might have to pick this up!!

Mischa.

The audio and video were superb as well. Considering the age of the transfer, barring a few slightly soft shots or the odd crushed black, a very sharp and clean transfer with rich color. The mix was great, Entwistle's bass could be heard clear as a bell as well as the shimmer of Keith's cymbals.

The concert itself was mindblowing. Intensely better than what some have been saying based off an off-hand rumor. It was a better performance than 95% of the junk on today, and from what i've seen the '69 london extra gig will be as good if not better
