Default 'Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed' (10/21)

Vivendi Visual Entertainment/Universal, is releasing Ben Stine's 'Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed' on Oct. 21. List price $34.99, AMZ pre-order $23.95.

Never heard of it, but here's the IMDB Page

I always thought he and Robert Stack (host from 'Unsolved Mysteries') had the coolest, and most boring voices ever.

Saw it in the theaters. I am a fan of the intelligent design theology, and I think Stein did a good job of arguing for it. There's some moments in the film where I would not necessarily agree with his argument, but I still think he proposed it well and made it logical.

Great. A hack in a hack "Documentary". This did so bad they're hoping to rescue as much as they can off the DVD sales.

Wow, this is odd. Hate to break the news to you, but pretty much every movie released is put on DVD. Sounds like they're going through the motions.

I hear the title is entirely appropriate.

This is a title where you cannot trust the "tomatometer". People give this a bad review because they disagree with its content.

So I guess you feel about Planet Earth the way we feel about this? 'Cause I giggle at you guys on nearly every episode of that brilliant documentary.

Religion is powerful man.

Yeah, I'm skipping on this one. Even if I didn't agree with the content of this, I'm not one to rush out and buy documentaries. It's not as though I need what information I got out of it retold to me repeatedly.

Even my dad who saw this and liked it, would probably not watch it again.

Unless you just missed it in theaters, a lot of documentaries don't strike me as must owns.

I've always been open-minded to this kind of stuff, so I'll give it a rent. Probably just on DVD at my local video store though, not really something I feel to pay more to see in high-def.

Oh, and just to save Kotatsu Neku the trouble, here we go:
"How sad that anyone would still try to push this deluded fantasy drivel out there. Anyone with half a brain knows there is no god and might as well believe in fairies and pixie dust and rain dancing."

No, everyone gave it a bad review because it's rooted in ignorance, fear mongering and baseless accusations (Darwin responsible for the holocaust?) instead of science and reason. Scientific American did a whole exposé on that movie. It's not pretty.

If you're looking for a balanced look at intelligent design, a film that blames evolution for the Holocaust isn't it. It's about as scientific as... well... intelligent design theory.

Personally I like Ben Stein, but i think that those who argue against teaching evolution in school are crazy.

If people want to have their beliefs, they need to teach it as a belief, not science. which sadly in many schools they want to do so, especially in the bible belt.
