Default Carrie coming October 7th

DVDEmpire just listed it. No specs yet besides the normal Fox DTS-HD Master Audio.

If MGM puts it as the same price as the 'James Bond' movies I may pick it up

Saw it on MonstersHD earlier this year. PQ not that spectacular. Looked like an upconverted DVD. But the movie was creepy. The shower room scene at the beginning completely threw me for a loop.

The sequel was a waste of time.

Would have bought Young Frankie but not at that price. I'll buy from somebody on the forum if need be.

In that case I own a "former wear" store and was a football player, the main character of 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' was based on me, should I go on?

BTW I think the last one is true

They say $39.98, but, come on, who are we kidding, that's $40! Why in the world would anyone pay $40 for this title, even in high def? That's the sort of thing that hurts the adoption of Blu-ray with people who haven't bought in yet. This is a title that shouldn't be any more than street price of $20, and then discounted from there by Amazon and the like.

Will this be full screen like the Criterion LD version? Probably not I'd guess. I'll still have to keep the Criterion.

OAR on this film is 1.85:1

However at $35.95 I will not be purchasing this. Too bad, this is one of my favorite flicks.

I bet this will be DNRed to hell. I don't think the print is good enough to make this a good BD, maybe I'm wrong, but there's been some strange release choices lately.
