Peter's review of 'The Perfect Storm' is up. He liked the movie, but wasn't blown away by it. He wishes this Blu-ray had a sharper video track, but the audio is still excellent. Extras are looking a bit dated. Worth a look.

Glad to hear I was wrong about Warner and they did correct the HD DVD.

I saw this movie in the theatres, I thought it was hokey, and bad. Not even worth a rent, due to the movie itself, imo.

I like this movie, and for those with smaller screens... this one looks and sounds great on 50" screens and smaller (at least the HD DVD does). On my 42" screen, I can't tell there's anything wrong with this one.
There's great documentary on the events of the "perfect storm" that showed on PBS that includes interviews with the chopper crew, the sailing boat, other line fishermen out there during that period -- that would be an awesome extra here. In truth, seeing that documentary really added to my enjoyment of this movie. Sorta like seeing Z-Boys then going to see Lords of Dogtown. -comix
