Default 'Vantage Point' - High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth's review of 'Vantage Point' has been posted. The film has it's problems, but he says this Blu-ray is a showstopper, with stunning video, a reference-level (Five Star!) audio track, and a decent spread of supplements. This is the sort of demo material high definition was made for. Recommended.

I agree with everything minus the audio.

That ain't no goddamn reference audio score--not by a long shot!

The rewinding didn't bother me like it did others, in fact I found the audience's reactions of disdain entertaining in itself while I was watching it.

My only real problem with the movie was the laughably cornball ending. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about....

I enjoyed this flick. I bought it on the week it was released. Good blind buy.

I thought this sucked hard, though a friend of mine really liked it. That's the way it goes I suppose. I was bored to tears by about the 3rd rewind and was tempted to leave the cinema, something I never do. I persevered and enjoyed the cheesy action once all the vantage points had been done to death.

My advice would be to lower your expectation and switch your brain off for this. Kinda like watching something like Crank - except that's a great fun film.

Nice concept, it just didn't play out well. I started getting bored with it. The twist, wasn't much of a twist. A fairly pedestrian political thriller. Freddy

I almost turned it off. The "twist" was just enough to pull my finger off the stop button. Will not be adding this to my collection or recommending this to others. It did look good though.

I really enjoyed the movie. It was a little over the top, but I found it enjoyable. And I agree. The audio was not reference quality for me either.

I have seen it in the theatres and let me tell you...it does look damn good! Pretty sure it matches in sound.
Anyway,, the movie itself is prettty good. Its a more action packed crash and Air I Breathe with intwining stories.

I'm intrigued by this movie and thinking of picking it up. So I mosey over to http://bluray.liesinc.net/ expecting to be disappointed once again since this is a Sony release of a movie recently in theatres, but lo and behold, it's region free!

Now, not that I'm complaining in this case, but can anybody 'splain to me Sony's region-coding policy? Do they even have one? I mean, Fox are complete dickwads in this respect, but at least they're consistent dickwads.

I don't care what you say, region coding sucks.
Results of the official recount: 120 , 122 . I'm even more shocked.
Heavily into necrophilia - still enjoying 'dead' HD DVDs.

Rented it on DVD and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I picked it up the BD.

'The Bank Job' is actually a Lionsgate release. Hope that helps!
