Default "The Thing", "Dawn of the Dead" Coming FRom Universal in Sept!

Sept. 30th with "Land of the Dead" also.
as part of a Halloween starter pack or separately.

I will have to see "The Thing" finally I guess. You know, I never heard a DAMN thing about this movie hype-wise my whole life until they started making it one of the freebie HD-DVDs you could get with a player. After that no one would shut up about it. And it became one of the first catalog titles people started whining about not having once Universal switched over to Blu...

If the spec list is final, people on the blu-ray.com board are saying that "The Thing" is missing the 80-minute documentary. That would eliminate it as a buy possibility for me. Not interested in double-dips that could have easily been prevented.

I will pick up all three of these movies it looks like blu-ray is finally going to have a good selection of horror movies.

oh man, hellraiser, RZ halloween, nightmare on elm street, diary of the dead, and now the land/dawns of the dead? heck yeah!!! now all i need is some childs play and firday the 13th announcements!

I love The Thing! It's one of the titles that really made me jealous of HDDVD...

yeah...I'll be keeping my HD-DVD as well...UNLESS...there is a DTS-HD MA track! Ennio's score would probably sound amazing and benefit from DTS...

According to the early specs THE THING is on a BD25 (!!) and has no extras other than the commentary.

Might be time to hang on to the HD-DVD for now. Lame.

I am hanging on to my . BD25??!!?? This classic deserves a better class of ...and I am going to give it to them. Opps..sorry. Have another film on my mind right now,lol.
