Already got The Thing and Dawn of the Dead on HD DVD, otherwise i'd have been all over these.

Fantastic releases though, great stuff.

Is there anything with Simon Peg due on home video this fall? It would be the logical time to release Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz...

Run, Fat Boy, Run is hitting DVD (BD?) this September I believe..... don't think it'll happen then - Uni already has enough on their plate.

What do you want to bet that HDD made a mistake? I' m sure they'll be $29.99 SRP (the Mummies are) just like the HD DVDs.....

In the news story they also list AVC as the codec that will be used on these titles.... is that correct either? I'm pretty sure that Universal stated in a press release that their codecs of choice were VC-1 for video and DTS-HD MA for audio.

I already got all these titles on so this news is a big "Yawn". Universal needs to release horror 's that have never been out on any HD format.

Psycho
Jaws
Wes Craven's Serpent And The Rainbow
John Carpenters PRINCE OF DARKNESS
The People Under The Stairs
Village of the Dammed
Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight
Tales From The Crypt: Bordello Of Blood
Halloween 2
Halloween III Season Of The Witch

Announce any of these titles then my heart will be racing. lol

I have all three on HD DVD, but if the new PiP stuff is good, I may get all three of them again, as they're three of my favorite movies of all time... BEH!

I like a lot of your picks Psycho, JAws, Halloween 3, most especially. I'm with you though, good new for new owners but, I have all of those on , too. Oh, and I'd add the 'Universal Monsters Legacy' collections in there first and foremost! I'd love them to put together a similiar package where they released Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman on DVD, in collector's editions with limited ed. mini-busts of all three characters! Add The Mummy and the Creature in there too! .....just thinking about it.
