I wanted to know how is the PQ on each of the Die Hard's. I wanted to get it eventually but i wanted to know if $70 is a steal.

I think it's a great set. Of course the PQ and AQ get better with each film. The 4th one being reference quality IMO.

I love these movies and their Blu-ray versions.

It's like the normal price isn't it? I could have sworn it was like $50 on Amazon not too long ago, but that was a one day deal.

In my opinion, no. $70 isn't worth it for me as each one of the older titles has something wrong with it (crappy master for #1, a less than stellar master & audio for #2 and EE on #3) and the 4th one is in the PG-13 cut....

So, for me even at $70 ($15 less than Amazon) the set isn't worth it. Mainly because all of the discs will eventually get redone as it's Die Hard and Fox just loves to re-issue the franchise... 'proper' versions will come soon enough.

But, again this is just my opinion and I'm biased because I already own the DVD box set... my needs are probably less than yours.
Well, I don't want Fop, goddammit. I'm a Dapper Dan man.

The problem isnt the transfers...its the movies. If you like them, thats fine... but...man, they got BAD after the excellent first one. The latest one was just so unimpressive & "yeah, been there, done this".

    $70.00 sounds high either way....

I believe someone in this forum is selling it for $50 right now.

They typically go for $55 to 60 on the Amazon Marketplace.
