Default "Blow" coming Sept 23

I didn't see another thread for this, and searching didn't turn up anything, so excuse if this has been posted before.

Warner Home Video has announced a Blu-ray release of Blow which stars Johnny Depp, and Penelope Cruz. The disc will be available to own from the 23rd September, and should retail at around $28.99. Extras will include a commentary with director Ted Demme and George Jung, deleted scenes, character outtakes, a production diary, behind the scenes featurettes, a trivia subtitle track with direct access to additional features, a digital copy of the film, and the trailer. We've attached the artwork below:

What the shit.... where's the frickin' Lossless, Warner! I could give a crap about a digital copy or focus points or any other of that other crap.

It's the second half of 2008 - why are we still getting lossy Dolby on Blu-ray? LionsGate is out classing them w/ 7.1 DTS-HD MA and PCM - Lionsgate!

Seems like the first New Line release where Warner itself is handling the transfer. Now instead of a high bitrate VC-1 encode with lossless 7.1 DTS-HD MA audio on a BD-50 we get a low bitrate VC-1 encode with lossy 5.1 Dolby Digital sound more than likely crammed onto a single layer disc.

Your right my mistake. Though I will take high bitrate VC-1 encode over low bitrate VC-1 any day.

wow, warner has sink to a new low. christ, they're going to botch the lord of the rings trilogy unless peter jackson handles it personally. otherwise say no to LOTR in 7.1 DTS MA and a high bitrate encode. I really think we need an insider to speak to them about this crap.

Oh, me too. I think some of the best looking stuff is high bitrate VC-1

And ditto Spartan.... Blu... whatever. I'm just gonna call you "meanie" for 'Mean Girls' from now on

Does it not seem like there was just a huge step back for this format....

.....son of a bitch.....

say no to warner with your wallet. otherwise they will hose the rest of new line cinema's finest catalog titles. why settle for good enough, that era was buried at the beginning of the year.

lol my thoughts exactly, this is unacceptable. It really is. We need to start a Warner Petition/Campaign.
