I don't care about lossy/lossless audio, I think people who obsess over it (rather than it simply being a preference) are a bunch of aspy weirdos, and you are a terrible judgemental poster who needs to learn either how to phrase his posts better or just flat out stop posting.

Since it failed at the box office, they're probably trying to recoup some money without spending extra. Maybe if turns a profit for them we'll see a rerelease with the HD audio like Superman Returns.

I can't believe people care about picture quality and audio quality. I mean we're only paying couple of thousand dollars for a home theater setup for high definition. Might as well go back to VHS.

good one. can you read? that post is about obsessing over specs, not about quality.
if you have a realistic reason, based on actual quality, then great ... don't buy it ... but talking down to people because of a spec that is meaningless to 99% of the people on this board is ridiculous
obviously everyone on this board cares about quality, but you don't have to be a bully over it when you haven't even seen or heard the actual release
there are plenty of discs with great specs and poor transfers
you can base your purchases on specs if you want, just don't tell other people that specs automatically = quality -

Says the guy who probably dosent even have a home theater setup... or dosent have the equipment to use lossless audio, ofcourse your not gonna care if you cant use it. but those of us who have the ability like to pay the extra money for the look and sound of perfect like where supposed to be, not the look and sound of "good enough" If i didnt care about Picture quality and audio quality i would stick too dvd's, but no, i went to blu ray for a reason... because it has the ability to have BEST video and audio quality you can get, and aparently warner dosent understand that on alot of their releasesMy Setup: http://s271.photobucket.com/albums/j...eWrathOfBambi/

the point of my post is that warner will keep screwing us over if we don't let them know with our wallets. if you're too sensative maybe this isn't the place for you. by the way, HD is all about getting the best video and audio. if you can't afford a surround sound system, why spend hundreds on a player, a grand on a tv, and thirty a pop for every disc. really. buying into blu-ray just for 2.0 sound is as retarded as, well warner putting dolby digital on a movie that could be a format seller.

coming from someone who bought into "the look and sound of good enough format". excuse me for having a 7.1 setup and being used to getting all lossless titles from Fox, Disney, Sony, and Lionsgate and now paramount and universal. pardon me for wanting what high def promised to deliver. yeah, it's all my fault. i expect too much. i better send all my equipment back and send a letter to the studios telling them to quit the blu-ray format all together. I will send a letter to the studios above telling them they are wrong and warner brothers is right. let's cater to those that are cheapskates.

While I have the equipment for high-def audio, (gasp!) I don't require it as a condition of my purchase. The point is everyone buys into BD for whatever reason and there is no right or wrong answer. The BDA is certainly not going to shun anyone for not having 1080p TVs or whatever, thus no one here is really in any position to do so either.
I love SR, the movie is my priority. And this BD release in all its lossy glory is the best way to experience it, so I am buying it. I am not going to hold out for a possible revisit by WB in 2009 or beyond. I want to enjoy the movie today, not next year.Last edited by Geonosis; 09-05-2008 at 02:42 AM.

why are people being so rude and nasty on this thread, i find it funny the people who are complaining about the lack of HD audio are some(not all) of the same people who just a few months ago, and still today are saying what a crap movie it is.
there is no need to make rude posts about people who dont have the perfect sound system, its just silly.
just enjoy the movie and if you dont enjoy it dont buy it.
myself While it would be nice to have seen them place a HD audio track on there, its not a deal breaker for me to buy the movie,Why you might ask?
cause there is no way in heck it would live it up to the sound experience of watching it at the chinese theatre back in may.
I really enjoyed this movie and plus that an old friend of mine who i used to work with at universal studios florida has a pretty sizeable role in it that is reason enough for me to buy it.

+1 to the above post.
