Wow, I've been waiting for this review since I found out the disc existed. I'm trying to decide whether it'll get a stateside release, as it's one of my favorite movies.

ESotSM is my personal favorite film ever, so I'm likely going to end up buying this release soon before XC sells out of it.

Yep. If you check the top portion of the tech specs (along the left side of the review body), we list region-code details if they're available at the time of the review. Hope that helps!

Incredibly brilliant movie!! Good review, although I have it on HDD already probably won't import, but I do like the japanese cover! Maybe a domestic release will be even better.

I agree... it makes the movie seem so much more magical, which is not one of the first adjectives I would use to describe the film. It definitely gives me the bittersweet, tragically beautiful feeling-- which I think is the most appropriate way to portray it.

I'm asking myself if I'm really going to pay 50 bucks for this movie... does anyone have any educated guesses as to whether we'll see this stateside?

This is one of my favorite movies too, even though I hated "Being John Malkovich". They are completely different in tone, though.
Glad I picked it up on HD DVD since there's no domestic BR release in sight, but I'm sure they'll get around to it.

ahhhh shit i just went and pulled the trigger... I figure it's a collector's item and it is easily one of my favorite movies of all time.
