I'm getting it. It's gonna look sick on blu ray! Hopefully we get Band of Brothers on the same day or around that time too!

This is cool, at least now I won't have to wait a long time to own it (I absolutely would not pay money for a standard dvd version if that was all that was available).
I wish they would just release the whole series in a box set, but I'll take what I can get.
(If this is real news, which I can't tell 'cause theres no link provided)

I want all four at once in a nice box set. Guess I will be holding onto my money this go around.

I really wish Indy 1 & 3 would come to Blu-Ray.

Crystal Skull was ok but it was just ok; no pop. Though it was still better than Indy 2.

Delta - I agree with your assessment of the ending in your spoiler tag. Just weird stuff. Indiana Jones is the ultimate action/adventure series and crossing it over into sci-fi territory didn't work for me. Overall an enjoyable movie that could have been worse.

However, I'm gonna say that I will hold off on this until they see fit to give us a box set with all 4 films. If you are trying to think of the best time to tie them all in to get the most sales, the release of Crystal Skull would have to be it. It could single-handedly sell a ton of Blu-ray players. Shame they appear to be passing up the opportunity.

To be fair, the ending is keeping with the real life mythos of the crystal skulls; I was watching a thing about it on the History Channel. Also, as you may have heard, the sci-fi element comes from the fact that its set in the 50s, so is based upon old 50s b-movie serials, like all the others were based on supernatural adventure b-movies of the 30's.
But I agree that the entire plotline in general wasn't up there with Raiders or Last Crusade. I personally hold the movie about equal with Temple of Doom.

The lost ark of the covenant melting faces worked for you? Mola Ram pulling the hearts out of living people worked for you? Drinking from the fake Holy Grail and turning them into dust worked for you? I have yet to see "Crystal Skull" but let's be honest here, the Indiana Jones movies haven't always been your typical action/adventure movies. The side steps into things somewhat sci-fi or out of the ordinary has always been there.
