What the hell is Dead Space?
Is this based on a computer game? I ask because of the EA logo at the bottom.

This is a prequel to the upcoming game. Appears to be a "comic book" tie-in that is a prequel to the animated movie as well.

EA is not screwing around with promotions and marketing for their upcoming space horror game Dead Space. Not only are they in the midst of a comic book limited series, now they've teamed up with Starz Media to create a full-length animated movie prequel for the game. The animated film, which will bridge the gap between the end of the comic series and the beginning of the game, is being produced by Film Roman, the animation company behind The Simpsons, King of the Hill, and Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!

The trailers for the game are very cool. The animated comic book available for download on the Playstation store is also very cool.

This has been listed on amazon for a couple of weeks and I was wondering what it was. Glad to see it's a full-length animated film. I'm definitely getting it.

If you have a PS3 you can download episodes of the series for free on the PSN Store. I had no idea this was going to be made into a full-length feature and I've been watching them the past few weeks. They're surprisingly entertaining.

I like it when game companies put out extra stuff like this. Makes it seem like there was some thought behind the making of the game. Then again, it's EA. They can certainly afford it.

I love the cover art for the Blu-ray release. Reflects the mood of the game perfectly.

Magnolia Pictures
MVP Entertainment?
