Default 'Drillbit Taylor' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'Drillbit Taylor.' He says it's sort of a weird mix of family film and adult humor, but funny enough. This Blu-ray has fine video and audio, and plenty of supplements. Worth a look.

Yeah, c'mon Peter get your head right!

I thought the movie was pretty good. Basically a restrained Superbad with preventing bullying as the motivation instead of trying to get some 'tang. Good review just needs the one correction.

I watched this last night with my girlfriend, and we both agreed it was the worst movie we have seen this year. I really couldn't stand the acting of anyone in this film, especially any of the kids.

This movie just did not appeal to me that much when it hit theaters. Other than Wedding Crashers...I really dont watch Owen Wilson films. Probably a pass for me, everyody else enjoy.

I like Wilson and Apatow.

I'll rent it.

This is one of the few times I agree with Peter's take. I enjoyed this movie. Probably not enough to buy it at full price. But on sale or with a coupon, I'd easily take it home.

I'm in the same boat as sunstar715. Finally got around to watching it last night and I thought it was pretty decent for the most part. The last 20 minutes or so were pretty funny. I think they should have just sold it as a prequel to Superbad. Overall, a definite renter, IMO.

Gotta agree with most everyone here - it's a decent flick worth a rent, definitely not as good as Superbad or Knocked Up but it has its moments. If you dig the Apatow humor then you'll probably at least enjoy parts of it.

They need to fix the street date on the review page, this has already been released on June 30th.

Worth a rental at best, but borderline skip it material in my book. It was ok over all, but there were parts that drug along and just weren't that funny or even that entertaining to me.

I could definitely see Apatow's fingerprints on it, and it had the usual cast of characters for one of his films, but I'm really finding his stuff isn't as funny as some give it credit for.

I'm glad I didn't even come close to blind buying this. About 2.5 out of 5 for me at best, with several stretches that made it seem more like 2 or lower....
