Default 'John Mayer: Where the Light Is' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'John Mayer: Where the Light Is.' He says it's a stellar release across the board. This Blu-ray delivers first-rate video and audio. A must for John Mayer fans and worth a look for non-fans.

Well, this was one I was looking forward to, hoping it would be added to 'flix so I could check it out first before buying. After getting such a positive review of the audio and video qualities, I am sold. Not to mention the testimonial of a non-fan!

This one will really show casual fans how talented John is on the guitar, looking forward to the Trio set in the middle. Pre-ordered it cheap at Amazon, glad to see such a positive review.

+1. It's cheaper than the DVD at the moment. John Mayer is flat out nasty on the guitar. To have that kind of skill at his age is truly amazing.

def, I have the claim to fame of being on John's first band recording waaaay back, he sure is kicking my ass in terms of "making it" .

He was doing things on guitar at 17 that made local veteran guitar players go "damn", so I always knew his destiny wasn't working at the local gas station, just never fathomed how far he would go, still amazes me daily.

FYI the reviewer said he wasn't 30 yet, but he actually was already 30 last Nov.

Good review. Wasn't this going to be like $15.99 at Best Buy next week? If true, I am sold.

I am honestly glad that songs like "Your Body is a Wonderland" and "No Such Thing" are not included. They really represent a John Mayer that I was never a fan of at all. My girlfriend picked up the bluesier "Continuum" and it's a great all-around album. That's the John Mayer we love.

John Mayers music has always caught my ear but it wasn't until I heard Continuum that I became a fan,he is a truly gifted song writer and guitarist.

Yeah Continuum is really a turning point, great disc. He was able to really thin out some of the bubble gum fans with it & pick up a more mature fanbase. I was actually in the studio when he recorded "YBIAW", that song was so overproduced, I recall like 80 tracks running on it at one time.

It's actually $14.99 @ BB, thanks for the heads up. Cancelled my Amazon order and I"ll nab the BB flyer in my paper and price match at the CC down the street.

Hey, Peter... Just an FYI, John is 30. So don't get too green.

He's such a phenomenal talent.

ah crap. Do we know if thats a strict region A or just the box stating it?

Don't think this will ever be released in the UK. Such a shame as he was great on the Abbey Road sessions on BBC HD.
