Default Sneak peek @ Warner's Fall line-up (JFK, BoB, 300, Casablanca, etc.)

Quote:
Warner Home Video has revealed a piece of their upcoming Blu-ray releases scheduled for this fall at the Entertainment Merchants Association Conference in Las Vegas. At the event, they confirmed (again) that HBO's ground-breaking WWII series 'Band of Brothers' would be released this fall on Blu-ray.

Additionally, they revealed that 'JFK: Ultimate Collector's Edition', '300: Limited Collector's Edition', and 'Casablanca: Ultimate Collector's Edition' would all get releases. While no confirmation was given that these would be coming to Blu-ray, 'JFK' has already been rumored to be coming to Blu-ray, a new edition of '300' has been expected to include the Picture-in-Picture feature not included on the first Blu-ray release, and 'Casablanca' is an HD DVD release that still hasn't been brought over to Blu-ray.

Stay tuned, as we expect to see Blu-ray announcements for all these titles in the coming months.

Wow, more Oliver Stone on hdm. They sure love his films. I wish they released as many of Scorsese's films or at least one Woody Allen film. It would be nice to get some new material though, I highly doubt WB will improve on the HD-DVD transfer of Casablanca.

Right on!!!! JFK easily one of the best stone films. That would be pretty rad to have a PiP feature on the flick. I mean Stone's commentary on the flick is pretty awesome.. Can't wait.

Casablanca! Band of Brothers!

I wonder if the BD of Casablanca will be any different from my HD DVD?

I'll definitely get JFK, but will keep my HD DVD of Casablanca until my player dies. And I'll be all over Band of Brothers, depending on how staggering the price may be.

Recently sold off my HD DVD of BoB so I'll def. be getting the BD version. I'm just glad we have some studio confirmation now.
JFK will be a certain buy as well.

Yeah...I can't imagine that they're exactly flying off the shelf. Must not bother them though, or they'd lower the price.

While it's fair to criticize Fox for their pricing, they're giveaways compared to anything related to HBO.

Some of their series boxes in SD, are getting never-before-seen prices on Amazon. Must be an effort to flush out inventories in advance of BD releases; plus the market becoming saturated, as in, most who will buy have already bought.

A few weeks ago, I picked up season one of 'Six Feet Under' for $16.50. That, I can get into.
