Default 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' has been posted. He says it's one of the better fantasy-adventures Hollywood has produced in a while. This is a spiffy Blu-ray, with strong video and audio, and a ton of supplements. This is an easy recommend.

I'm still on the fence if I will buy or just rent - thanks for the review!

It's at the top of my Netflix queue. Hopefully I will get it before others.

Easily worth $39, but I got mine for much less. Fantastic movie, fun extras and a great story. I love this movie.

ts funny how the highdef reviewers can catch edge enhancement from the corner of their eye but performance can go over their head even when its weighted w a brick

The main child actor plays two roles and manages to be so flat and 2D that his attempt to differentiate the characters comes off as an exhausting attempt with the cost of rediculous performances

Its fun movie but the performances of two main characters constantly calling attention to themselves as flawed make this relatively ununique film difficult to watch

Probably worth a rent but a 2nd viewing will be difficult unless you under the age of 10
