Default First Ape film says all there is to say

I suppose Beneath Planet of the Apes is okay, and has some cool set pieces, but the three subsequent sequels are ultra-lame. They are like Barnaby Jones episodes with Ape costumes. IMO wait for the release of the '69 film on its own. Besides, there ain't much that's going to look spectacular in 1080p.

First for sure, second, perhaps. Last 3, I will pass. *sigh* I really would love the first one by itself on BR. Perhaps they will split them up in the future.

This is great news.
Hope they look good.
Looks like lots of extra's.
First 2 and Battle were my Favorites but to have the complete set would be sweet.

I love these films, I own the original DVD boxset but these box sets with extravagant pricing $179 are you Effing kidding me??? Give me a break. These companies better wake up and know damn well that people just aren't going to spend that money on these. I've never spent more than $50 dollars on a DVD box set, I'm not double-dipping even for high-def for almost two-hundred dollars. They're f'ing insane, sorry.

Amen to that. I'm the guy who owns the animated series, TV series, books on the friggin' Planet of the Apes, etc. I'm the guy Fox wants to purchase this set and I'm SAYING HELL NO!!!! They're utter fools.

i'm saying it again, considering Fox's typical pricing THIS IS A DEAL you will not pay more than $112 on AMZ and probably less so it's nothing to complain about for 5 films

Not to mention the original beginning!

CONQUEST is my favorite one and I can't tell you how much I would love to see the director's cut.

That said, I really hope they don't over-process these transfers.
