Fantastic pricing by fox yet again.
Yeah that big discount they're giving for buying 4 at once rocks doesn't it?

With Warner you can get 5 movies for that price and get a fake police badge thrown in too.

I'm not getting these simply because of the price... If FOX or any other studio thinks they can charge that much for a 30 year old movie they're nuckin' futs...

The original Omen is a horror classic. One of the greatest horror movies ever. The second one is pretty good too. The third one sucked and the remake is well plagerism.

I don't understand why an old movie is worth less to you than a new one. Surely it costs more to restore an old film negative than to use the pristine digital master that is created on a modern film?

The age of a film is irrelevant to me - a good film is worth $30. A bad one is worth nothing.

edit: This post is not meant to defend Fox's pricing, which I think is too high.

ill buy this...and the age of a movie has nothing to do with how high or low it should be priced in HD. Im not deffending Fox prices because I think they are all to high, but I don enjoy new movies any more or less then old ones.

Oh I'll likely still buy this but those prices are too high - especially for a set of 4 catalog titles. I don't think catalog titles should be way cheaper but the standard $30 or so MSRP from other studios on them is reasonable IMO and then if there was a discount for being in a set then this box should be priced more like $100 MSRP.

I'd love to have the set, but as other posters have mentioned - it's entirely too high in price. I picked up the most recent DVD editions for $5 each brand new.

I guess it's the idea of the movie being available to home media for over 20 years, and shouldn't cost as much as a new release... I do appreciate the effort studios go through because some catalog titles look amazing in BD, but they shouldn't have the same price tag as new release titles...

I already have the remake which is actually quite good and faithful but the original is so revered as an all time classic they were on a highway to nothing making it.

I'll get the original when they are split up provided they include all the extras that the SD collectors editions have but while 2 was okay at best 3 was terrible so will skip those 2
