Weak movies overall, some decent visuals though (they get bogged down in cornball sideplots, and Nightwatch grinds to a screeching halt not even halfway through) one of those "rent before you buy" things.

That said, I hope they actually make them definitive versions. The US cut of Nightwatch is a good bit different than the original Russian cut, but I think the US cut actually flows better (though the translation is off in a good number of scenes, thankfully I don't know much Russian so it doesn't bother me.)

The US cut of Daywatch is more or less the same as the Russian cut, but while it had the kickass subtitles that Nightwatch had in theaters, it doesn't seem like they put them on the R1 DVD Hoping these Blus have both cuts and the cool animated subtitles on both.

Twilight Watch is still tentatively scheduled for 2009. Timur Bekmambetov's new movie, Wanted, opens in theaters in a few weeks and TW is supposed to be his next project. That said, Night Watch/Day Watch are a complete story, and while there is room for a 3rd, it will definitely be going in a different direction (from my understanding, Twilight Watch is supposed to take place primarily in the US.)

But it's pretty much speculation and tidbits of information here and there, nothing has been officially confirmed just yet.

This is sweet. Day Watch was better than night watch but both are a must have. Cant wait to see how it all ends when the third installment comes out.

That's what I thought after watching the second, how are they gonna connect the third one, I watched second one knowing that there will be a third. If I recall correctly the first one ended with sort of a cliffhanger and second pretty much wrapped it up. I'm still looking forward though.
I didn't know that the same guys directed Wanted, cool tidbit, I was gonna see it anyway.
