'The Eye' - High-Def Digest review

Peter's review of 'The Eye' is up. He had mixed feelings about the film itself, but as a Blu-ray release, he says this one's a winner, boasting fine video and audio and a serviceable set of extras.

Master X, did you see the original version of this movie directed by the Pang Bros? If so, how would you say it compares? I'm a big fan of the original.

saw this for 24.99 today at walmart and was TEMPTED, but same price RAMBO was far more tempting....

this may be a down the road pick up. but so far, i've not yet once been impressed w/ alba's acting, so.....yeah...not high expectations.

You have 7.1 PCM track in the specs on the side, but the review says that it has a DTS-HD MA track (correct).

Haven't seen this. As much as I love Jessica Alba if there is one thing I could never stand it is Asain horror remakes. It brings back memories of the dreadful Grudge, and Ring movies. Still Jessica Alba might make this watchable (not for her acting of course) and I may give it a watch

Time to move on now form the rambo review... As for the eye I got it last night and it was one of the better Asian remakes. I have seen the original liked that one as well. I will say the ending was handled a bit better in the original but its done well here as well. Give the movie a try you might be surprised at how much you like it.

Yes Aurora it is 7.1 DTS-HD MA. I rented from B-Video and I will be watching it tonight.
