Default 'Rambo' Box Set - High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth's review of the 'Rambo' Box Set is up. He says it's perfect
for anyone who enjoys every entry in the original trilogy. The Blu-ray
editions included in this set also have their ups and downs, but will
ultimately satisfy most people. The video transfers are impressive,
the audio tracks are decent, and the supplemental packages are
thorough. He wishes all four films were in this set, but fans will be
happy.

Why would HDD review this box set when all 3 movies have all already been reviewed individually? Makes no sense to me....

I agree the first Rambo is classic, can't wait to pick up this boxset and for 35 bucks that's a steal!

Now the sequals are kinda cheesy, but I think can still be enjoyed on their own merit, I don't have all the contempt kenneth shows for them.

I mean rambo was an icon for an american soldier, being discriminated against when in many other societies or ages these kinda warriors would be revered as gods. So what's better then making him out to be glorified war machine in the sequels and applying some old school american a$$ stomping....

Good entertainment. Not a bad price for all three.

Because there is nothing else to review in Blu-ray format.

They could have at least reviewed Rambo IV.

Hi all. We review 'em as we receive 'em from the studios. The first three 'Rambo' films arrived much, much earlier than the fourth film, so please bear with us and trust that we tackle high-priority reviews before lower-priority reviews.

Peter's set to review 'Rambo IV' and I'm sure he'll load it as soon as he can.

Thanks as always for posting!

Precisely. You'll notice a flux of high-priority reviews beginning next week since June and July are packed with releases.

There Will Be Blood

I'm so looking forward to that film...even if the cinematography is grainy and lacks detail some of the time.

It was like that on my Apple TV HD rental. Very soft when in the mines or in the dark. Then on the brighter days it was crisp.

I saw it twice in the theater. It would have been three...but I couldn't make the time.

Anyway, I love the look of the film. I like the grain, and I like the lack of detail. It was intentional, and it's gorgeous.

I freaking loved this film!
