Default 'Bee Movie' - High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth's review of 'Bee Movie' has been posted. He was disappointed
by the film's pretentious parade of sarcasm, dull pop culture
references, and convoluted plotlines. This Blu-ray edition boasts a gorgeous video transfer, a powerful TrueHD audio track, and a seemingly endless stream of special features, but rent this first before making a purchase based on the film's high-def merits.

I don't agree with the movie review, I thought the movie was pretty entertaining. Maybe a 6.5 or 7 out of 10.

The video, audio, and special feature scores, though, I do agree with. Paramount did a really great job on the release. I hope that Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood are mindblowing next week.

Went ahead and blind bought it since it was at Walmart and the last one. Had no problems in checkout.
I really enjoyed it! Laughed a bunch of times! Fans of Seinfeld won't be disappointed! I really enjoyed the scenes with Chris Rock as the misquito. The windshield whipper scene had me in stitches. Also good was the many real life actors portrayed in the movie. Jerry Seinfield really knows how to make the joke about any one of em.
overall, definitly better than Shrek 3, Ice Age 2, Cars.
not better then Ratatouille or Ice Age 1.
oh. And the video is a slam outta the park.

Movie: 3.5/5
Video: 5/5
Audio: 4.5/5
Extras: 6/5

I agree on the technical front but I enjoyed the movie alot more than Peter Did.
And damn, did Seinfeld jam in the extras. 6/5!!

Blu-ray.com also gave the disc a stunning review. I never thought the film was great, but I did enjoy it. I'm waiting on this one in the mail currently, and can't wait!

Was going to blind buy this when it was announced on HD DVD but when that fell through I bought the DVD version and must say the movie didn't impress me so I'm not buying it again.

Not sure what it is about Dreamworks Animation but they are very hit or miss with me unlike Pixar.

I have to agree. I don't like their movies as much as Pixar's but I think that first two Shreks and "Over The Hedge" are great.

My kids love the Bee Movie and watch the SD-DVD all the time. If I could just find the darn Blu-ray version already, that would be great. This is one of those titles I would like to add to my collection.

I haven't liked a Pixar movie since The Incredibles (where's the sequel at anyway?). I was very bored by Cars and Ratatouille... they might have been okay, but definitely not great by my standards.

Crossing my fingers for Wall-E

It's disappointing to hear so many negative reviews of the film because I was highly anticipating blind buying this. The trailers are great.

Should this be available everywhere by now....or best bet to try Wal-Mart where people seemed to have luck last week in finding this one?
