Default 'Warriors of Heaven and Earth' - High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth's review of 'Warriors of Heaven and Earth' is up. While he didn't love the film itself and found the extras sorely lacking, on the bright side, both the video transfer and the *two* uncompressed audio tracks earn a solid 4 stars (out of 5).

BostonMA -- generally we review 'em as we get 'em... We still haven't received 'King Arthur' or "GI Jane' from Disney, so we rented them yesterday, and you can expect those reviews in the next day or two.

well, i understand that thats how it works but idk, it seems that you guys have been getting al of the movies at least a day early like the departed, stranger than fiction, casino royale, the pursuit of happyness and now recently, it seems that you guys have been getting the movies later for some reason. but oh well, sorry i didnt mean to sound like an ignornat jerk. looking forward to the king arthu review haha

You think this one is garbage, I don't. I dislike on the other hand King Arthur.

Thanks for the review! I have already ordered this and it might already be in my mail box but I'm not able to check it this week so I'll see it next weekend.

Watched this film last night, and I was rather pleased with the story. Sort of reminded me of the Seven Samurai, except they were protecting a camel train instead of a town. Overall, I thought the pictre and the soundtrack were very nice.

This movie has sort of a Chinese government propaganda tone to it (sacrifice yourself for the good of the nation), but it's so weird and interesting, I almost didn't mind. Kinda depressing though.

I don't think it was a Chinese government propoganda type thing. Reminding me more of the Seven Samurai or the Magnificent Seven. Li felt obligated to help the solider and the monk because they saved his life in the desert. His old comrades loved him as a leader, and thus chose to follow him again into battle even though the odds were against them. It's a pretty classic story as many movies have been made on the subject.
