Great. I love this show and can't wait for it to return in the fall. Nice to see that the MSRP is only $39.98 - should be $27 (or maybe less) on Amazon.

Very nice. More than any other, this is a show that requires viewing in High Definition.

Low pricing for a TV series would lead me to blind-buy them quite often, like I will this one.

Sounds good to me! Come on Warner, start pushing out some ER sets in HD.

Check abc.com, last time I looked you can watch the show in HD streaming. It's a great show with a very bright and colorful look. Should look fantastic on disc.

This season of Pushing Daisies should be cheap, seeing as how it's only 9 episodes.

I think $39.98 MSRP is pretty cheap.... not the cheapest, but for 390 (or so) minutes of wonderful HD PQ and well written story I'd say it's a pretty fair deal - especially from a discounter like Amazon (who will have it for far less than MSRP I'd assume).

Default overated

I have tried to get into pushing daises but its more style over substance i think. It's all very charmingly done but its as hollow as a nut shell inside. Im sure the blu ray will look good as the show is full of wild colours etc. Personally id like to see a blu ray release for Moonlight which i thought to be very underated but looks like its gone for good now cbs has ditched it. Heres hoping it'll get picked up somewhere else but at leasta blu ray of it would be nice.

The Digital Bits has some details of the bonus features, which don't sound very substantial...

Warner has also announced Pushing Daisies: The Complete First Season for release on 9/16 on both DVD (SRP $29.98) and Blu-ray Disc (SRP $39.99). Each will be a 3-disc set containing all 9 episodes. Extras on the DVD (and we suspect on both versions) will include the Pie Time: Time for Pie interactive featurette and something called Cast/Creative Team Members Dishing Forkfuls of Series Secrets.

Talking Blind buy for me!

This was one of the best new shows this past fall. Its a witty, quirky and heartwarming modern day fable. The ensemble cast is stellar. There is no stupid laugh track telling you when to laugh so you actually have to watch the show and listen as the jokes are on a higher brain scale than most american sitcoms.

We were lucky enough to actually tour the "pie hole" (yes, were pie holers!) this Winter during strike when we took the Warner VIP studio tour. Amazing set (and fantastic studio tour BTW). Well worth the money.

The price seems a little high for this disc set at first glance but remember this was a one hour show so in reality its really more like an 18 episode normal 30 min comedy.

The colors will look absolutely amazing in 1080p.

Can't wait for this one!

I love Pushing Daisies, but I realize that it can be an acquired taste, much like the creator's previous two series, Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls. It also has a heavy dose of Amelie mixed in. The show rides a fine line between clever and cutesy, but I think stays just on the right side of it. Your mileage may vary.

I gave Moonlight two episodes and found it unwatchable. Maybe it got better after that, but by that point I was done.
