Default 'Next' - High-Def Digest

Peter's review of 'Next ' has been posted. He says it's a problematic
thriller that fails on just about every level. This Blu-ray sports
above-average audio and video, plus a slim (but spiffy-looking)
supplements package. This is a rental.

I disagree with this review. I had the HD DVD version and the U.K Blu-ray and both boasts excellent PQ and SQ. There were jaggies in couple of scenes and I am not sure how the reviewer missed to spot it.

There seems to be a typo saying that it has 768kbit DD+ tracks, its gotta have 640kbit DD tracks. This seems like a direct copy from the HD DVD review.

"It remains a solid mix, with no major differences between the mixes that really stand out."

Why would there even be minor differences between TrueHD and PCM streams that are sourced from the same master (and are at the same bit depth no less)?

I already own it on HD-DVD. So, it'd be a long time before I buy it on Blu-ray.

I had always heard how bad this movie was... But I caught it on StarzHD a few months ago and I was surprised at how much I liked it. I think this movie is much better than the critics reviews...

I enjoyed it more than No Country For Old Men (but that isn't saying much considering i like about any movie more than that one).

Yeah I rented it on HD-DVD as well..and the movie in the first couple minutes seemed like it could've been really cool..especially when they started chasing Nicholas Cage around the Casino and he was narrowly missing everyone because of his "powers". But after that yeah everything just started going downhill with the terroist plot and love story with Jessica Biel and yeah..I mean I think they all played their parts well..but the story just sucked...especially the ending...just really screwed it all up. I think if the ending was better it would've been...an okay movie....but that capped the crap....sad though cus the concept would've made a potentially good thrilling movie.

Wow someone does think like me. Next was a decent movie IMO.

No Country For Old Men was totally overrated...still cant believe people really like that movie.

the movie is pretty decent till it gets to that crappy ending.
most agree its the ending that really does in the movie.

i will be sticking with my uk import i ordered it after the paramount announcement cause it sports all the same features and it was only 21 bucks at hd movie source.
