Typical of the workings of today's celebrity crazed culture this will get released on dvd and bluray along with crap like I know Who Killed Me and the latest Paris Hilton disaster just because Boll's name is controversial.
It makes me sick.

Isn't this the one that Boll boxes his critics in? I'll watch it just for that. I've seen some YouTube footage, and the man may be a lousy director...but at least against punk ass Internet film critics, he's a pretty rockin' boxer!

Apparently Postal was released to 4 screens on it's release date.

Yeah, four screens.

it was supposed to come out in theaters next weekend along side indiana jones but the movie industry pulled it because there would be a loss on showing his movie since it would be empty theaters, so it looks like its a straight to dvd thing. ya bowle!

there was a thing in the film forum or water cooler about it

The preview claims that it released in US theatres last year and grossed $5 million, but that's wildly innaccurate since it releases this week in theatres.

I don't own any Uwe Boll flicks, and I sure don't plan to start now.

I'm renting it. Although I hate Uwe Boll, I appreciate his bravery in making fun of topics in this film that most people, besides Trey Parker and Matt Stone, would be scared as hell to do.

Still, I will rent it, I am always up for seeing a new movie on blu-ray. I think it's great to have independent companies joining, whatever their content is, the wider selection the better for blu-ray. I'm not sure if they will make many sales at that price....maybe a suggested retail of 24.99 or less might have been better for this type of release, especially considering it's not well known. Heck, Echo Bridge Entertainment is churning out titles that sell for under ten bucks, and the two I own 7.5 and 10.5 are amazingly very good quality.

found this on wikipedia

Recent news revealed that the film will be released in the USA May 23 2008, although Uwe Boll claimed it would be released October 12, 2007. On May 16 2008 theater distributors pulled out of their deal with Boll for a wide release. Postal, as of May 16, was set to be released in only four screens, down significantly from the original 1,500 screens. The movie was released in German theatres October 18th, and then in Austria a day later

The film has opened in two countries. It opened at number 27 in the German box office, taking in $79,353 from 48 screens and has banked $133,568 as of November 11. In Austria it ended its box office run after two weeks with $5,165. As of December 9, the worldwide gross stands at $141,783.
