Default 'Ocean's Eleven' - High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth's review of 'Ocean's Eleven' has been posted. He loves the film, calling it a fantastic heist film by Steven Soderbergh. This Blu-ray features a fairly standard Dolby Digital audio track, a top notch video transfer and generous supplemental package. An easy recommendation.

"5 Stars" and "one of my favorite films of all time." Wow, just wow. Talking about overrating a mediocre movie. Good for only one viewing.

I love Ocean's Eleven. I would give it like 4 and a half stars. The dialog is top notch, full of charming and sharp wit

Should you really be ragging on people's taste when you have Contact for your avatar?

I would give it five stars. It is a movie I can watch over and over again. I love it.

I think Contact is a much better movie than any of the Oceans, but that just goes to show you that there's no accounting for taste. Oceans relies on star power to cover up its weak writing, and unsuccessfully IMO.

It will be interesting to compare all those WB titles with DD 640kb/s Vs a PCM or TrueHD track.

It's sad that I won't be buying any of WB films with DD because I really like OC11.

+1

The jump in sound quality from DVD to blu ray is much more important to me than visuals, it's the principle reason why I'm prepared to pay the extra. Dolby Digital simply doesn't cut the mustard anymore.

Hahaha, exactly.

I loved this movie. I think it's definitely worth the 4-5 stars. Ocean's 12 was ridiculous and probably deserves 2 stars, while Ocean's 13 deserves 3 stars.

I have never seen any of these films so from the sounds of it I am in for a real treat! Of course, as always, the first title is really the best film and the rest are just reportedly "meh".

Cant wait to watch this!

Do you think that they are going to reissue this movie with lossless sound?

Definitely. I'm really surprised you haven't seen any of these movies. You will really enjoy Ocean's 11.
