There Will Be Blood... finally! Glad I held off buying the SD DVD version.

Seems this long and pointless battle has finally ended.

Based on what they did with Cloverfield and (although I didn't buy it) TWBB, I see this as possible. I'm not bitter or anything but that was a real deceptive move to get everyone to get the SD release to then tap the people who wanted it on HD to get them to buy it twice. Seeing as the announcement was not too far from the release dates of those movies, there was definitely something going on here.
You're referring to Payamount here, apparent masters of deception.

I held out on buying the There Will Be Blood dvd, because I hated the packaging. Cloverfield, on the other hand, I HAD to buy because of the metallic packaging at FYE/Suncoast. I'll pick up Cloverfield if it has good reviews and see if I can make a custom bluray box out of the metallic SD box I got. ^.^

The only thing that made my dick go up in that announcement was 'There Will Be Blood'. I mean, seriously--Bee Movie? Next? What the fuck? Give us some important titles, please.

Thanks for posting this onyxx. By the way...WWOOO HHHOOOO!! Bout time! Part of the pleasures of having a 13 year old son is I can give him the sd dvds of Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood. Bee Movie goes to my 9 year old girl. So...I will pick up those three for sure. Next and Face Off...pass. Thanks Paramount for giving us a bone. Now, when can we expect Sweeney Todd?? Iron Man will rock on blu this fall. Very exciting news.

Looking to get Bee Movie (For my daughter), Spiderwick Chronicles, and debating on TWBB.

I'm hoping an announcement for Sweeney comes soon otherwise my copy will be shipping from Amazon UK on the 17th.

I'll be picking up Bee Movie, There Will Be Blood, and Cloverfield.

Although I wish they were going to use DTS-MA. Although I guess i really can't complain.

I agree - must... resist... UK import.

Is Paramount really going to incorporate Dolby TrueHD - I'll believe it when I see it, er, hear it.
