Default 'Identity' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'Identity' is up, and it looks like yet another winner for Sony. Peter says the transfer and soundtrack are up there with the absolute best he's seen on Blu-ray.

Sony has really taken strides forward with their AVC encoder - and look at all those PCM tracks on there!!!

This was a great movie as well and I highly recommend it for those that never did get to see it, looks like a real winner sonically as well.

I figured out the shocking twist ending to this one from the trailer. Pretty sad.

I first saw that trailer in front of Adaptation, though. Anyone who's seen those two movies should find that pretty frickin' hilarious. As the characters in Adaptation were discussing "The 3", I said to my wife, "Hey, we just saw a trailer for that!"

Yeah, you're probably one of those people that knew what was going on in The Sixth Sense 10 minutes into the movie as well.

From the 2nd scene, yes.

The trailer for Identity made it hard not to figure it out, though.

Spoiler:
The narration went something like:

"These 10 people are brought together mysteriously. IDENTITY. They all have something in common. IDENTITY. They have the same birthday. IDENTITY. You'll never believe the shocking twist ending when you find out the secret to IDENTITY, IDENTITY, IDENTITY.

IDENTITY, coming soon to a theater near you. IDENTITY."

On DVD there were two versions, one theatrical and one extended - what version did Sony put on the Blu-ray?

I guess this disc is coded for all regions due to the amount of subtitles, can anyone confirm?

Default Which version on Blu-Ray?

I would also like to know the answer to the question valmont74 asked.

The DVD includes the "widescreen presentation features the option to view the exclusive branched version of film with alternative ending and additional scene."

Does the Blu-Ray include this or just the theatrical version? The Blu-Ray review says that all the extras are ported over but it does not mention this feature.

Thanks!

Update: I finally received this title and it does not have the alternative ending and additional scene.
