'Meet the Browns' -- pre-release buzz
Lionsgate has announced Tyler Perry's 'Meet the Browns' for a July 1 Blu-ray debut:

No specs or extras yet, but the DVD is a special edition, so the Blu-ray should likewise include extras. Stay tuned.
MSRP is $39.98. -

Man, Lionsgate is REALLY stepping up when it comes to number of releases. Especially being a smaller studio like they are.
I am not a fan of Tyler Perry in the least but Lionsgate is not messing around.
Kudos to them. -

Haven't seen this one but if you've seen one of Tyler Perry's movies/plays you've seen them all. Pass for me on this one.

i liked on ESPN page 2, they gave an NBA postseason award to Tyler Perry. Most advertisements seen for a product with least useage: 11000 hours advertised, 0 minutes watched. big pass. but don't get me wrong, he does have a talent for making money, as his films are very modestly budgeted and can always pull in 20-40m. just like Kevin Smith (save for Jersey Girl).
but what i find interesting: Isn't Daddy's Little Girls one of the worst selling
's? if this one flops, it'll be interesting.

Hoping to get a new cult for Christmas. Already tired of playing with the last one. -

The MSRP in the article is listed as $34.99, which may be incorrect. Amazon and DVD Empire both show this film as having a $39.99 MSRP (which is typical new release pricing from Lionsgate).

I'm definitely not a fan of the pandering and stereotyping that pervade Perry's films, but I will begrudgingly applaud more of Ms. Union in HD.

I've never seen anything with Tyler Perry, but I've ordered both this and Daddy's Little Girls. His movies seem good on paper.

Next Tyler Perry movie...
I gave Tyler Perry a chance and watched "Why did I get married" in HD on pay per view and was very surprised that I ......enjoyed it!
I am wanting to see this one also because I like Angela Bassett.
