Just watched it tonight. Stunning film, same blacks showing as red on my projector. Looks like some questionable DI work to me.

The people that say they didn't find the film creepy - man, how jaded are you? I was on edge through most of the film and I've seen a hell of a lot of movies. Of course, I was watching in the dark on a big screen with 7.1 sound - maybe it doesn't translate to a smaller screen in the daytime with dogs barking in the background and texting your friends at the same time...

Hahaha totally agree.... put this movie in at midnight, with my 7.1 and 65" big screen, can't lie it got under my skin a little. I guess that's the difference between getting into a character and having legit scares or a movie that just throws things at the screen at you, kids these days....

Umm, Pan's Labyrinth is nothing like the torture porn genre, and in my mind a million it's a million times better than anything that genre could ever produce. Your taste in movies is kind of unique - maybe you should stay away from foreign films.

(Though I do agree that the evil children in Japanese horror have become cliched.)

I was underwhelmed by this movie. It wasn't really that scary except for a few parts. It wasn't a bad movie, but I was expecting more.

I'm glad I held out for the 99 cent price point at Blockbuster, it made this movie all the more sweeter, I agree with the review 100%.

If you liked the "Orphanage" you might also like "The Devil's Backbone", another one worth checking out.
