'Helvetica' -- pre-release buzz
Indie Plexifilm has announced their debut Blu-ray release, the acclaimed documentary 'Helvetica':

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/helvetica_le.html
It's coming in two versions - a standard Blu-ray, and deluxe limited edition with collectible packaging.
Disc specs are the same for both, with 1080p video and DD audio, plus 98 minutes of unseen interviews.
Retail is $26.00 for the standard disc, and $125.00 for the LE (which is signed by the director as well). -

Helvetica!
I love Helvetica. Growing up as a Mac user it's always been a favorite font of mine. And not that crap version in Microsoft Word but the good one from ClarisWorks....
Times New Roman? Pfff, that's for losers (and by that I mean Windows users.)
All that being said I haven't seen this documentary and I doubt that I will.Steve Zissou: Anne-Marie, do all the interns get Glocks?
Anne-Marie Sakowitz: No, they all share one. -

Wow, this is about the last movie I would demand HD for.

What, you don't want to see all of that typeface and static interviews in HD? Think of what Blu-ray's high bit rate can do for the PQ on this disc. It's a shame that it won't have lossless audio - I was really holding out for a full blown 7.1 DTS-HD MA track.
I hope this disc is packed full with a PiP commentary and is web "enhanced" so that the viewer has the ability to access downloadable fonts via the internet.... because you know that would just be a blast.Steve Zissou: Anne-Marie, do all the interns get Glocks?

Interesting Film
I was able to catch this film at my school, SCAD, a few weeks ago.
It's really informative, very interesting and actually quite entertaining at parts. For any art majors or artists out there, I'd highly recommend seeing this. I'm even a visual effects student and found it to be one of my favorite documentaries. Will be picking this up as soon as it's out. -

Whoa this movie is just endless typing of a font? It must be better than "One missed call"
