In The Line Of Fire - July 1
In the Line of Fire Coming to Blu-ray
Posted April 21, 2008 08:34 AM by Josh
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the Clint Eastwood film 'In the Line of Fire' to Blu-ray on July 1st. Video will be presented in 2.40:1 1080p AVC and accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. No special features have been announced at this time, but expect at very list direct ports from the previous DVD release.
Eastwood stars as Frank Horrigan, a veteran Secret Service agent haunted by his failure to protect John F. Kennedy from assassination. Thirty years later, he gets a chance to redeem himself when a brilliant psychopath threatens to kill the current president and take Horrigan with him. Taunting him by phone and tantalizing him with clues, the assassin (John Malkovich) lures Horrigan into an electrifying battle of wits and will that only one man can survive. -

Malkovich and Eastwood are great in this one, i went in with NO expectations, only to be quite pleasantly surprised. was well worth the 3 or 4 bucks i paid for it in the Wolfgang Peterson 4 dvd set.

John Malkovich actually gave me chills while watching this movie... One absolute hell of a performance... I owned this on LD and DVD; no reason not to buy the BD...

An excellent catalog title. I'll hold off on this one until one of those B2G1 sales pops up from someone. Now if only they'd put out Desperado so I have a second catalog title to pick from.

High Def Digest, are you going to fix this? I hope your standards of journalism/editing haven't gone downhill since you were bought out by Internet Brands.
