Yes, I realize that (it won't do much good at least).... I made my statement because cupboy said:

(to me) that seems like he is saying that the S1 HD DVD had lossless TrueHD (I was informing that it in fact didn't).

I wasn't debating MA vs. TrueHD or MA vs. DD+ or lossy vs. lossless or anything like that... I was just trying to inform someone who seemed to have bad info (and was giving said info to others).

Woops, sorry about that. It has Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 Surround (1.5mbps) ... still that beats the dts core I'd be getting with the blu-ray version, although by not as much as TrueHD would have.

One other thing, it says here the list price for Season 2 is $49.98 but amazon.com shows $69.98. Which is it?

Got my copy today, nice packaging - no individual cases like S1 on HD DVD, but a digipack containing the four discs. *Off to watch heroes*

My copy of S1 HD DVD wasn't in individual cases

It looked exactly like this

The DTS core is 5.1 surround @ 1.5mpbs, same as the DD+ track, with the added bonus of not potentially having limited dynamic range encoded in the track itself.

Please do

I'm also curious if Season 1 suffers from interlacing like the my HD DVD did.

I hate that S1 is $69.95....yuck. I think I had paid the same price when it came out on HD DVD if I can remember correctly. Good show though and can't wait to see S3.

Wha? When?

I didn't notice any but then again maybe I just don't remember (last time I watched any of the series was 5-6 months ago).

I was playing it on the 360 HD DVD add-on so it might have had something to do with that. It was weird because my 360 is set to 720p.

I don't think I ever had any interlacing issues myself with the HD DVD that I could remember.
