I do hope, however, that Universal is more consistent with using lossless audio now that they're switching to Blu-ray. As we all know, Dolby Digital-Plus was the studio's default audio codec (with some TrueHD exceptions, and no, not because of space or bandwidth but studio choice). However, I don't think I've seen a single Blu-ray title with DD+ audio, which I'm guessing is because of authoring issues on the format. Although they've come up with some stellar-sounding DD+ tracks, hopefully Universal will bypass this altogether and just bump it up to TrueHD or uncompressed PCM consistently.
Hmm I heard it's only Dolby Digital 5.1 for both season one and two on Blu-ray, but I could be wrong. It's the information I was sent.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has revealed the specs for the upcoming Blu-ray releases of 'Heroes: Season One' and 'Heroes: Season Two', both due to hit store shelves on August 26th. The popular TV series will get the full high definition treatment, with video being presented in 1.78:1 1080p accompanied by a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

Season One has been reduced from seven discs for the HD DVD release to five. This is because some special features, such as "Genetics Test" and "Mind Reader" games, have been removed, but also due to Blu-ray's larger storage space.

All of this info and more including the DTS MA and fewer discs for Season 1 is on Universal's official store listing for the sets. Season 2 looks to be getting audio commentaries AND The PIP Commentaries from the website.

Agreed, and here's hoping they don't make the same mistakes as with the HD version. I will certainly double (er, triple) dip on BSG. Not sure on Heroes though. I love the HD release, it was the reason I purchased my A2 in fact. It will have to have a marked improvement (and the DST-HR MA certainly helps) from the HD release for me to double dip, or I will have to find it at an affordable price. But yes, bring on BSG seasons 2 and 3 along with Razor.

I am glad to see BR getting all the stuff that was HD only now that the war is over. My collection of BR is up to 36 now (and I finally got a PS3 about 2 weeks ago).

80 bucks for season 1? (catalog)?
It better get cheaper otherwise I won't be getting it. At 80 dollars I can live with DD+.

Hopefully the blu-ray version will be as impressive as the HD DVD version.

Has Universal made any announcements yet concerning their future Blu Ray releases being codefree ? (That sentence sounds kind of strange to me, I hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say. English is not my native language )

It would suck if I had to wait for a Region B release.

So far no mention of region coding, but it's pretty much assured that catalog releases will be region-free. We'll have to wait until "Doomsday" hits on July 29 to see if that holds for new titles.

The MSRP was incorrect. Season 1 will carry a 99.98 MSRP, and Season 2 a 69.98 MSRP. $20 MORE for Season 1 then originally expected, and $20 MORE for Season 2 then originally expected.

$70 for 11 episodes? No thanks. There are only about four good episodes in S2 anyway..... I guess I'll wait for a sale to pick it up.

Amazon should have it quite a bit cheaper, but as for Best Buy it should be full price haha.
