Peter's review of 'The Dirty Dozen' on Blu-ray is up, and while this release trails its HD DVD counterpart by six months, it's otherwise identical. The audio is somewhat lackluster, but the video is pretty good, and the supplements package is overflowing. All told, not the best of Warner's remasters, but certainly respectable for a now 40 year-old film.

Peter is showing his lack of age, U.S. Militay involvement in Viet Nam had been pretty hot for several years when D.D. was released. The book was a character study, the movie reassigned characteristics to different characters, which in my opinion was unnecessary. I did enjoy the moviea lot an the book a lot more....
