'Point Break' -- pre-release buzz
We've receive an early retailer alert for the latest Fox catalog release:
http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/pointbreak.html Dubbed the "Pure Adrenaline Edition," the set includes four all-new making-of featurettes, eight deleted scenes, and a still gallery. Tech specs are 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-MA 5.1 Surround audio. Retail is $39.98, and street date July 1.

Fox needs to cut the price on older catalog titles. $39.98 is ridiculous for this title.

Prices will have to come down. This movie is in the $5 bin at wal-mart. I'm sure the blu-ray version will be better but i doubt it's $30 better.

I would hope this might pave the way for Strange Days. I like Point Break just fine...but I would rather see the "colorful" Strange Days in HD. My DVD isn't cutting it anymore...stupid lousy Non Anamorphic THX Certified DVD!
I also wonder how good this would look. This film always seem washed out to me...at least in color palette.
