Default Semi-Pro 2 Disc 06/03/08

Quote:
New Line Home Entertainment, recently gobbled up by Warner Home Video, has announced plans release the Will Ferrell comedy Semi-Pro in a two-disc "Lets Get Sweaty Edition" Blu-ray Disc set on June 3. The release will be day-and-date with the standard DVD debut.

Semi-Pro is expected to be presented in widescreen 2.35:1 1080p video and DTS-HD Master Lossless Audio. We will update the technical specifics once disc specs are released by the studio.

Likewise, we have yet to receive the supplemental features which are expected to be extensive given the two-disc treatment given by New Line. Those features will be added immediately upon receipt.

Semi-Pro on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $35.99. Click through the disc details below for high resolution cover art, and check back regularly for not only disc specs and supplemental features, but pre-order links as well.

This movie was HORRIBLE. I'll still buy it though because I can't be without a Will Ferrell movie. Lame.

Yeah, the movie was a little wishy-washy. It was hillarious at moments, then there were times it tried to be serious and they didn't work well together. It either has to be one way or another, but not both.

But if you're a Ferrell fan, and I am, you'll most likely enjoy it.

Terrible movie. I'm getting really sick of Will Ferrel and his movies. He always plays the same characters. The fact that Semi-Pro absolutely tanked at the box-office will hopefully aid as a wake-up call.

that was a quick turnaround i just saw the damn thing like two weeks ago. I personally enjoyed it. I think will ferrell movies get better with every viewing. I've spoken to a few people who agree with me on this. Like old school, anchorman, and talladega nights get even funnier everytime i see them.

I've yet to watch blades of glory for a second time but i enjoyed it. i'll pick this up since i did enjoy it in theaters. Not his best work but i liked it

That’s right, let’s get sweaty, let’s get real sweaty.
I’m talkin’ rainforest sweaty, I’m talkin’ swamp sweaty.
Let’s fill the bathtub full of sweat…

I'll probably pick this up. But, that was fast. Honestly, I agree that this movie was very wishy-washy and had it's moments. But, for some odd reason I love Will Farrell's stupid humor.

I thought Blades of Glory was a funny movie. But, if you didn't like it... I'd stay away from Semi-Pro. To me, Blades was a better film.

Yeah, Will Ferrell movies do get funnier each time. But this one wont. There isn't enough jokes that you have to catch on over time. It's just straight forward harsh cursing thats funny the first time.

BEST Basketball comedy since "White Men Can't Jump". Though thats not saying much with "Semi Pro" going up against "Eddie", "Celtic Pride", & "Forget Paris". This is a MUST OWN for any fan of Michigan Basketball (not the college but the state). If your not from the state of Michigan quite a few jokes in this movie may have passed over your head. Still great movie and I can't wait to pick this one up.

You guys are missing the main point.

New Line is sticking with DTS HDMA even though WB "absorbed" them.

Awesome news IMO. Here's to hoping they keep 7.1 also!!
