Default 'Dragon's Lair' -- pre-release buzz

In an unexpected announcement, Digital Leisure is bringing the arcade classic to Blu-ray:

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...to_Blu-ray/528

No date or specs yet, just flyer touting his return. Should be interesting to see if it is better than the standard-def DVD, which I always found really clunky and annoying.

But really who cares and who will buy these dreadful 'interactive' games..they were out of date in 1991 let alone 2007.

Dragon's Lair and Space Ace were the bombs back then....but yeah, they are kind of dated and linear. However, so is GRAW

"Should 'Dragon's Lair' arrive as scheduled on April 9, it will make history as the first BD-J title to hit the market."

That's funny... when I watched The Descent on BD not long ago, I got a movie graphic "loading..." screen, indicative of BD-J technology. I don't know if that was the first, but I'm pretty sure Dragon's Lair isn't.

I was obsessed with this game in the arcade when I was little.

Weird, how this thing manages to stay timeless and it's literally all FMV.

I am sure that a lot of Players and especially the PS3 will have a firmware update for it. This stuff is getting wild in smackdown - almost too crazy - enough to just ignore it.
