Ken's review of 'The Rookie' has been posted. He's clearly a fan, and says this is a great family drama that hits blu-ray with an excellent video transfer, a faithful PCM audio track, and a complete port of the standard DVD supplemental package. 'This one is worth a look.

HA HA HA!!! can you imagine a "R-Rated Director's Cut" of this movie where he makes it into the pros and starts abusing drugs and hookers?

this be one of those things hard to grasp for non Americans, there seem to be an endless need for this kind of morality tales where (usually) the father and son bonding over something, overcoming personal problems by overcoming other problems. and most of the time with sports.
not meant to offend or poke at anything, just genuine curiosity as there really is no European equivalent to it. (or even something like it really) would be interesting to hear some thoughts about the phenomenon since.. Quote:
