Default 'Enchanted' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'Enchanted' has been posted. He says it more than lives up to its title. This Blu-ray has five star video (!!), great audio, and some nice extras. 'Enchanted' warrants enough replay value, both as a film and a Blu-ray, that it well warrants a purchase. Recommended.

I hope this makes it 4/4 on my "Musical." Love & Own on High-Def...

Hairspray, Across the Universe and Dreamgirls.

As for the Technical Side, I'm not surprised. ^ These all Look & Sound Perfect too!

You KIDDING me?! The very fact "Dreamgirls" didn't have Lossless was the reason I didn't buy it.
Anyone know if Disney has decided to dump doing PCM or what? If that's the case for major studios it looks like only Lion's Gate may be left doing it or possibly Paramount.

Yes Disney is replacing PCM from what I understand, Coyote Ugly also features a TrueHD track as well as other announced titles, it's great either way though.

Sort of off-topic but what's the major motivation (I'm guessing to save on space?). From what I've read, the difference in sound between the two is minimal or unrecognizable so whether its PCM or TrueHD doesn't bother me. As for Enchanted, and back on topic, it's too bad there isn't some form of commentary track. Regardless, I'll still grab it.

TrueHD isn't as much of a storage hog as PCM from what I understand, although I hope it doesn't give studios a big excuse to release mostly on 25 gig Blu-ray discs, luckily this is 50.

Preordered yesterday!! Little Disappointed that Disney didn't wait to add the Oscar Performances from Amy and Kristen Chenoweth but what you gonna do? It would have delayed the release just a teeny bit longer but would have been worth it.
