Blue Man Group 'How to Be a Megastar Live!' headed for Blu-ray disc
No release date yet, but Rhino has announced plans to bring the Blue Man Group's concert film 'How to Be a Megastar Live!' to Blu-ray disc.
The 22-track live extravaganza will be hitting Blu-ray sometime soon. What do you guys think? -

Sounds Interesting, and yes ben1080p is correct in his statement.

you know the thing that really bothers me about this group is that there are MANY of them. Did ya'll know that? They perform all over the country at the same time with different members. I mean they're ok I guess, but I would have thought Rhino--one of my absolute favorite labels--would have done a little better on their first release. In fact, is this their first Blu-Ray title? I'm not even sure, but regardless, I can't get excited at all about this. sorry.

It doesn't bother me since I don't think of 'Blue Man Group' as a musical group like the Rolling Stones or U2, but as an umbrella name given to a multitude of different groups, like Cirque du Soleil.
It's pretty much the same as with a Broadway show, with a "master" cast on the home turf and other actors and performers taking the show around the country. -

I watched this on HDN and with no Tracy Bonham I can't recommend this, the replacement singer just doesn't have it

My wife and I went to this concert. In fact, we were at one of the two filmings that made this BD. I am curious to see if we can find ourselves.

It was a fun concert, but like Bert007 said, I missed Tracy. The replacement singer wasn't bad, but I am used to hearing Tracy. Luckily, I think Tracy performed for one maybe two songs. There is a lot more music than 2 tracks. -

I bundled this with a few other items coming out the same time period. It is awesome that apparently Amazon is not charging me separate for the orders to be sent out at different times due to the delay of this disc.

Their cover of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" featuring Esthero on vocals is awesome! I wish that was on here!!

Although it's still showing here and Amazon with an August release date, I've seen at least 2 online retailers (Circuit City and CD Universe) showing a November 4 release date now, bumped from a previous September date. WTF is up with that?

Seems like Rhino keeps putting the release off, we'll worry about Blu-ray later.
