    Default AvP Blu-ray two-pack: April 15

In a studio first, Fox says it will bundle the hits 'Alien vs. Predator' and 'Alien vs. Predator: Requiem' as a Blu-ray two-pack this April.

As we've previously reported, 'Alien vs. Predator: Requiem' is set to make its next-gen debut on April 15 (day-and-date with the standard DVD). It follows the original 'Alien vs. Predator,' which Fox released on Blu-ray in early 2006.

In a bonus for fans who may have missed 'AvP' on Blu-ray the first time around, Fox has now confirmed that it will also offer a discounted Blu-ray two-pack featuring both AvP titles on April 15.

Carrying a suggested list price of $69.98, the AvP bundle will offer a savings of at least $10 compared to buying each title separately. (Amazon is already taking pre-orders for the bundle at $48.95.)

Note that although there have been rumors that the bundle would include a new version of 'Alien vs. Predator' with additional bonus features, Fox tells us that the two-pack versions of 'AvP' and 'Requiem' will be identical to the stand-alone versions. Box art for each individual title also remains the same.

I thought this was old news. It's been available to preorder for quite some time, still cool though.

If that's the case then isn't the "Unrated" in the box art misleading?

At least FOX has already alerted us of a "special edition" AVP later in the year. If you already own AVP on BD, like I do, it makes sense to wait for the SE and just buy AVP:R now. The box art is cool though.
    The Setup:
    Samsung 40" HD LCD 720P
    Samsung BD-UP5000 & BD-C6900
    Onkyo 6.1 AV Receiver TX-LR552
    Bose Acoustimas 6 speaker system

    The Discs:
    400 + Blu-ray
    70 + HD-DVD

Why is this a studio first? Is it because its a duet rather than a trilogy.

Warner (Harry Potter), Sony (Spiderman), Universal Bourne) (well not on Blu) and Paramount (Mission Impossible) have all done bundles.

What do you mean? The version already released on Blu-ray includes both the Unrated and rated cuts.
