Default Indie Studio Blue Underground coming to Blu-ray soon!

Pretty awesome. I hope The Final Countdown is on their short list!

That is great news. They have the rights to Lucio Fulci's Zombie.

They also have some highly regarded cult classics from Dario Argento like "The Bird With the Crystal Plumage" and "Suspiria". I imagine these would among their first batch of titles on BD.

Regardless, it's nice to see another indie studio getting ready to jump into the game. The more studios that are involved and more titles that pop up on release schedules, the less it will feel like the 'niche' format that so many think it will always be.

Personally, the only enticing enough thing they have IMO is "The Final Countdown", which is a great sci-fi "B" movie starring A-list actors like Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen. It essentially feels like a feature-length episode of the Twilight Zone. Far better than the Twilight Zone movie itself of course!

Hell yeah!

Another one I'd like to see released in HD is Nightmare City.

It would be nice to have the Argento and Fulci collections, in the form of a moderatetly priced box set.

It's interesting, to note, that Blue Underground, like other smaller and Major Studios, are REALLY "under-the-gun" to release their catalogues and new releases in HD.

Let's hope they take their time and don't rush the process too much, and get sloppy.

I hope they will release these two soon plus another Argento masterpiece 'Phenomena' starring a very young Jennifer Connelly, and Harry Kumel's 'Daughters of Darkness' and 'Salon Kitty' the Tinto Brass sleaze fest, and, and, and...

Oh hell yes. They have rights to a ton of movies I would buy.

Romero's The Crazies among them.

Glorious news. If they do better than Anchor Bay when it comes to the actual quality, they'll be sucking up tons of my money.

That's the big one from their catalog. I hope it's in the first wave as well.

They really maxed out the bitrate, audio and extras on their discs so I am confident their BDs will be great.
