now that I know they only have 400 copies, I will take most of the blu-ray off my Q and just get the SD versions. I am getting so many titles way down my list, because the top is heavy with Blu-ray. I wish there was a way they
would just send me what they got, instead of having to manually changing it.

There's going to be 1500 titles out by year end? Or is he referring to number of copies per title?

If they don't increase number of copies per title, having more titles means nothing. Right now there's very few BR title's they don't carry.

Let's hope they max out copies and titles... I'd like to see Order of the Phoenix before the series ends.

They'd better not raise the rates on all subscribers...it should just be for BR renters. (They like to pay more anyway.)

It takes 4 weeks to get a new release on BD from Netflix as appose to 2-days from Blockbuster ! Obviously BB orders more copies of a title on BD than Netflix ! I dropped Netflix almost just as fast as Toshiba dropped HD-DVD . Go w/ Blockbuster people!

Unlike owners who like to pay almost $300.00 on a dead format and then say they didn't buy a player for . "No, we bought a player as an up converter".

...please stop typing. Your choice of format is showing.

Tired of getting movies sent out 20+ down my list (and really wondering what value the subscription was), I pared my list down to ONLY HDM that I wanted to see. A lot of queue-filler with titles I recognized or might be interested in seeing (again).

The end result was that my movie selections were blanked out "awaiting shipping" all weekend and I received notice early in the week that they were shipping from all over the country. The titles MAY be here before the weekend.

I'm not sure how Netflix BD will perform going forward, but it may have more value in helping me avoid those nostalgic SD "bargain bin" purchases for $5.

I like that they finally plan on expanding their inventory, however I do not like the sound of rate increases.

"It seems apparent that content will cost us more," said McCarthy. "Whether we raise prices will be entirely a function of churn, subscriber acquisition costs and gross margins."

"As we've previously reported, earlier this month Neflix announced it would phase out its HD DVD support, saying that although only a small portion of Netflix subscribers had elected to receive high-def discs, a majority of those subscribers had chosen Blu-ray over HD DVD."

Maybe they will phase out DVDs too.

I already pay $18/month and rarely get what I want (usually my first top 5 choices are never available)... If they raise prices more than $2/month they can shove it... I'll just buy more from Amazon whom has yet to let me down...
