Default 'Patton,' 'Longest Day,' 'Sand Pebbles' -- pre-release buzz

Fox has finally set a June 3 touchdown for it's Father's Day war promo:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/patton.html
http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/longestday.html
http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/sandpebbles.html

There's no supplement details yet, but each is a single disc, with 1080p video and English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio tracks.

Full specs should be in with the full media announce, due soon.

Retail is $39.95 a pop.

"Patton" might be a blind buy for me, pending the disc reviews. Always wanted to see it.

wonder where the other "Father's Day" war films are?
any word on those?
also: can't wait to see if Fox can FINALLY knock one out of the park with a catalog release. I'm certainly not holding my breath.

Blind Buy x3 for me.

Mrs. Doubtfire and Master and Commander have also been officially dated. Now, where the hell is Ronin?

Longest Day I'd certainly buy.

I've seen Battle of Britain with a June release date on a couple of online stores recently - not that I'd put too much faith in that.

I really hope there is no region coding on Patton but then it's fox so it will nearly be guaranteed to be there.

I should have gotten a US/Japanese player.

Buy. Buy. Buy.

Here's hoping Amazon or Best Buy has a trio purchase discount for these bad boys.

All three will be must buys for me; they all deserve high definition re-releases. Now how about "Hello Dolly" for Mother's Day?

Deninately Hello Dolly....not to mention my eagerly awaited titles, the Rodgers and Hammerstein films: South Pacific, Carousel, King and I, Oklahoma, State Fair, and especially The Sound of Music (1080p and DTS MA audio, my mouth is watering).

I'm planning on Fox cancelling and delaying these releases. It's what they typically do with their announcements. Wake me up if they can be bothered to stand and deliver.
